Road Network

estatbegimg.jpgThe main arterial roads  have a 15m (50’) 2-way reserve, which has a 7.3m (24’) carriageway, green verge of 2.7m (9’) on both sides of the road as well as 1.45m (5’) sidewalks on either side of the road. This size main estate road will allow for large buses and vehicles to commute through and within the area as well as allow for any space allocation for bus stops or soft shoulders.

The 12m (40’) estate roads or local roads are designed to provide access from lots and then later intersect the main estate roads. The requirements for these roads are a 2-way carriageway of 6m (20’ green verge of 1.8m (6’) on both side of the road as well as 1.2m (4’) sidewalks on either side of the road. It is not intended that these roads become thoroughfares.
